Prato, 1973.
Right there, where everything started
Carlo Alberto Nistri, a young technician working for a prestigious textile manufacturer, and Piero Cavicchi, who managed the same company’s sales department, decided to ride the wave of the industrial boom. They both had a strong entrepreneurial spirit, mutual trust, plenty of personality, experience and passion for what they do. Above all, they are determined to transfer the know-how acquired into something that lasts over time while independently developing new technologies and products. From the Prato industrial district to the entire world.
The “international” half of the company’s name - Furpile International - says it all: a bold statement for a company that focuses on the production and sale of fur fabrics. A brand name created by the union of two English terms – "fur" and "pile" fabric - a simple play on words that conveys the spirit of its two founders.
Over time, the entrepreneurial vision of Carlo Alberto and Piero helped Furpile grow not only commercially and industrially in Europe, Asia and the USA, but also in terms of human capital. New team members, collaborators and partners who have embraced the same concept, ambition and approach to the world.
Over the years, Furpile has shown plenty of resilience and ability to adapt to the needs of national and international markets quickly, starting new artistic collaborations while investing considerably in research and development as well as in materials and technologies.
Today, 50 years later, the group has established itself as a point of reference for investors and customers, moreover, it stands out for its ability to put the best “local energy” into the system, as well as be attentive to the environment and continue to believe in the future as a source of inspiration.
